Neotron lab has achieved the accreditation for the detection of PFAS on waters, animal tissues, eggs and derivatives.
​As food safety becomes an increasingly important concern for consumers, companies are looking for ways to assure the quality and safety of their products.
One recent key area of focus is the presence of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in food products. These substances have been linked to a variety of health risks, and as such, it is crucial that companies producing, processing or transforming meat, fish, crustaceans, bivalve molluscs and eggs products test them for PFAS to ensure they are safe for consumption accordingly to EU Regulation 2022/2388 that entered in force in January 2023.
Since the beginning of February 2023 Neotron reached the ISO 17025 accreditation for the detection of PFAS on animal tissues, eggs and derivatives. Besides the animal products accreditation accordingly to the recent EU Regulation we also got the accreditation for water intended both for human consumption and for washing and rinsing.
