With reference to the analysis of food allergens, we are glad to announce the Neotron development of a new application dedicated to this purpose: Digital PCR.
Digital PCR is an evolution of Real Time PCR that has already been present for some years in the field of basic research that Neotron nowadays proposes in an innovative way for the detection and quantification of allergens DNA. With this method it is possible to perform absolute quantifications of the investigated target, reach lower limits of detection, and reduce the effect of possible inhibitors present in the analysed matrices with a very high level of repeatability.
This considerable technical improvement compared to the Real Time PCR is possible thanks to a new approach for the PCR analysis.

Determination of Alicyclobacillus following IFU Method
Posted in: Highlights, NewsSince the early 1980s, when spoilage of fruit juices by acid dependent thermotolerant spore forming bacteria was first recognized, members of the genus Alicyclobacillus have emerged as food spoilage organisms of major significance to the fruit juice industry.
